Our hotel will undergo renovation work on the public bath and private bath from May 7, 2024 to July 31, 2024.
During this period, there will be time restrictions on the use of the public bath, and private baths and day trip baths will not be available.
Please be careful if you are considering using this service.
Be embraced by the warmth of wood at our lakeside town with history and stories.
Information about our baths
Ogoto Onsen is a site for hot springs, established by the Buddhist monk Saicho, who founded the
Enryaku-ji Temple on Mt. Hiei.
During the renovation period, only two of the bathrooms below will be open.

Bankara no Yu
- At the center of our public bath, with a wood stage like an island floating on the water is the Bankara no Yu. The stage is designed for our guests to rest their head on and stretch out their limbs for the utmost relaxation.
Hidamari no Yu
- Energize your body by enjoying the gentle wind under the sun- the open hot spring guarantees you a fusion with nature.
Haikara no Yu
- In a traditional shape, for nothing but an escape to tranquility merely through a bath. The perfect tub for groups or family to enjoy a moment of intimacy with laughter and talks.
Komorebi no Yu
- A relaxing open hot spring with sunlight filtering through the leaves of
trees.
Indulge in the sensorial pleasures alone to rejuvenate your body, as well as memories.

- (1) 11:30 am – 0:00 am
(2) 6:00 am – 10:00 am
(Hot springs start from 3:00 pm on Tuesdays for weekly special cleaning.)
During the renovation work period, the operating hours will be (1) 15:00-24:30 and (2) 6:00-10:30 on all days of the week.
